first-timer
Well, here it is in the small hours of the morning (it isn’t quite late enough for them to be wee, I don’t think), composing my first and all-important post to my blog. Welcome, and for god’s sake sit down.
I’ll admit here and now that I have been raised on a diet of such outstanding blogs as Nobody’s Doll and mimi smartypants. As a result, I have long been seized by a semi-paralysis when it comes to creating my own, since I fully expected that it could only be pale, small, and dull in comparison.
Who’s to say it won’t be?
Not me, frankly. Not yet. But here it is anyhow, and for the moment you’ll simply have to forgive me if I occasionally slip into the dialect of one of my mentors. With any luck, they’ll find it strangely flattering.
So let’s get started. Or, in the words of the wedding DJ, “Let’s get to it, shall we?” (To be followed by the strains of any 80s classic, such as Strokin’.) Expect more to come…
